The historic canals and rivers in the UK provide a local haven for people and wildlife. The British waterways are a national treasure, worth visiting.

Canal & River Trust is the charity entrusted with the care of 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales. Provides useful information about boating on canals and rivers, as well as safety announcements, events, etc.

Royal Yachting Association (RYA) works to ensure that its members and other boaters continue to enjoy their boating being safe in a variety of ways.

British Marine Federation (BMF) provides advice and assistance their training and technical teams.
